Ozon says invests 5 bln rbl in biggest logistics hub on Volga
MOSCOW, Oct 27 (PRIME) -- Russian marketplace Ozon has invested 5 billion rubles in its largest logistics hub on the Volga, the company said on Thursday in a statement.
“Marketplace Ozon has officially opened the first line of a fulfilment center on the territory of industrial park Chapayevsk in the Samara Region,” the company said.
The first line covers 52,000 square meters. It will grow with the second line to 76,000 square meters by the end of 2023. The total area of the hub will amount to 135,000 square meters.
The hub capacities will be raised in line with a growing volume of e-commerce in the region, where the number of orders placed with Ozon spiked 140% on the year in January–June.
